Re: Is ICWA relevant qualification for banking sector?

Institute of Cost and Works Accountants Of India ICWAI

The course trained students in accounting, cost and management audit and tax function.

ICWA candidate can seek employment in BANKING sector as the ICWA candidate is well verse in accounting and auditing

but actually this course is design in a way that ICWA candidate help any organization or company in reducing the cost of production.

ICWAI is the course more focused in cost accounting and qualified ICWA candidate seeks employment in company and organization as cost accountant.

BANKING is all about safeguarding the money deposited by individuals and entities and investing it in a direction that would yield profit (by lending ,etc ).

Qualified ICWAI can get good job in BANKS but more suitable qualification is chartered accountancy , MA in economics and MBA ( for private banks).

Govt Bank jobs entrance examinations can be filled even if the candidate has bachelor degree in any discipline with passing to 60% marks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ICWAI

10+2 passed or equivalent qualification.

There are 3 stages in ICWAI
  • FOUNDATION
  • EXECUTIVE
  • FINAL
