My date of birth is 07-07-1999, so I want to know that when I will be age of 21 in July 2020 but exam is complete in June and submission of exam form is also done 3 or 4 months before the exam and I will be age of 21 year in July,so Will i eligible for IAS Exam in 2020?

Exam pattern for Civil service exam, 2016 will be slightly changed from 2015 pattern.

But the age and educations qualifications requirements are :

Age : 21 to 30 yrs (relaxation for reserved categories)
Edu. qualification : graduation in any field.

Notification for Civil service exam, 2016 will come in February, 2016. There will be some change in number of attempts and optional subjects.

IAS(Indian administration service) Exam is one of the civil services exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission .
Some Very Important Qualification required for attempting IAS exam:-
Candidate should be Indian.
He/She has bachelor degree ,those who are waiting for last year result can also apply

Age Criteria-Candidate must be in between 21 to 32 years.

There are also limit for attempting-

IAS is short for Indian Administration Services. You can become IAS officer through Civil Services Exam.

Civil Services Exam is conducted by UPSC.

For Civil Services exam your age must be within 21 years to 32 years.

There is also relaxation in upper age as per government rules.

Candidates must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation in any subjects from recognised college or university.

Candidates must have Indian citizenship.

Yes, you can appear for the civil services examination conducted for the recruitment of the IAS, IPS etc... The examination is conducted by the UPSC every year. The examination is conducted in the three stages.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is candidates who have passed the graduation in any discipline with the passing percentage and age above 21 years and less than the 32 years as on the 1st August of year of appearing for the examination can appear for the examination.

So, you need to start the preparation to appear for the examination. The application form for the examination will be available from the April.

Yes,you are eligible to appear for the civil services examination in the 2016. The examination is conducted by the UPSC every year.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university.
* Candidates age must be between the 21-32 years as on the 1st August of year of appearing for the examination.

So, you can appear for the examination going to be conducted in the 2016.The notification for the examination is released and to get the information in detail visit at the www.upsc.gov.in.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service

This is a Civil service post and to join in this post you need to apply for the IAS exam conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year. Candidates will be selected through 3 stages such as:
  1. CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test)
  2. Main Exam
  3. Interview

There are eligibility criteria's which you need to satisfy in order to apply for the IAS exam. The eligibility criteria includes:

-> Candidate should have a citizenship in India.

-> Age limit for general category candidate is 21-32 years and for OBC it is 21-35 years and for SC/ST it is 21-37 years.

-> Educational qualification needed for the candidate is that, candidate should have completed a degree in any stream from a recognized university.

If you satisfy them all then you can apply for the IAS Exam. There are certain amount of attempts which is allowed for category candidates such as 6 for general category candidates, for OBC it is 9 and for SC/ST it is unlimited.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative service

Eligibility for IAS :
1. You must complete degree in any stream from a recognised university.
2. The age limit for applying for IAS is 21- 30 years.
3. Nationality: A candidates applying for IAS must either be:
i a Citizen of India, or
ii a subject of Bhutan, or
iii a subject of Nepal etc

Age relaxations:
There are upper age relaxations provided for candidates.
1. The upper age relaxation provided for OBC is 3 years.
2. The upper age relaxation provided for SC/ST is 5 years.
5. Ex-servicemen who have completed their service are given 5 years upper age relaxation.

The no. of times writing the exams :
1. OC's can write up to 3 times
2. OBC's can write up to 7 times
3. There is no such limit for SC/ST candidates.

The procedure for selection is
1. Written exam
2. Interview
3. Document verification

The written will have 2 papers
1. Preliminary exam
2. Main exam

Civil Services Mains Exam will be commenced on 18 December, 2015.

However, you will have to apply for Preliminary Exam and qualify it to appear for Mains Exam.

Age Criteria:
For General: 21 to 30 years
For OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

IAS Aspirants will have to pass three stages to crack this exam:
Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam)
Mains Exam
Personal Interview

In order to appear for Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Exam, aspirants should have the following eligibility :

IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services. This service comes under the Civil Services of the Indian Government. Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services exam for the different services like IAS, IPS, IRS etc.

This exam is considered to be one of the most toughest exam of India and has following eligibility criteria:

>>The least qualification for this exam is bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

Passing percentage of marks is enough to apply for the exam.

>>The minimum age limit on 1st of August of year of exam is 21 years and upper age limit is 32 years for general category candidates with three years age relaxation to OBC and five years to SC/ST respectively.

You can apply for the 2016 exam as you will be 21 years plus on 1st of August of 2016 as per your date of birth given year.

Notification will come on 23rd April of 2016.

After 2 July, 2016 you will be able to give IAS examination.

IAS examination is conducted every year by UPSC (Uninon Public Service Commission).

The eligibility criteria for IAS examination:-

* Age relaxation:- 3years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

By next year you are going to be 21 years and that is luckily the lower age limit for IAS examination as well. So, yes you are eligible to sit for IAS examination next year.

Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification:- To give this exam you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission. If you are a final year student then also you can apply for this exam.

Age Criteria:- According to the new rule the upper age limit of all categories have been increased. But the lower age limit which is 21 years remains unchanged and is applicable for all categories. Here is the new upper age limit for all categories:-
  • General Category: 32 years
  • SC/ST Category: 37 years
  • OBC Category: 35 years
  • PWD Category: 42 years
Number of Attempts:- It is different for different categories.
  • General Candidates: 6 attempts

Yes, you are not eligible to appear for the IAS examination in the 2016. To appear for the civil services examination conducted by the UPSC the required eligibility criteria is:-
* Candidates must have passed the graduation from the recognised university.
* Candidates age must be between the 21-32 years with the relaxation in the upper age limit for the reserved category.

And according to the eigibility criteria published by the UPSC,you can apply for the IAS exam 2016.

Actually the minimum age needed to seat in UPSC mains examination is 21 years on 1st August 2016 and you're alright. So you apply for the UPSC exams in 2016 without any hesitation.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and it is the highest posts which a civilian can achieve in the administrative field.

To be an IAS officer one needs to clear Civil Services examination which is held once every year by Union Public Service Commission in three stages which are respectively called as Preliminary test, Mains and Personal Interview.

Being born on 2 July 1995 you are eligible for Civil Services examination 2016 as by the 1st August 2016 your age will be over 21 years and will be within the age limit i.e; 21 years to 32 years ( in case of reserved category candidates there is provision of age relaxation too ).

Apart from the age criteria , to be eligible for same examination you need to have either completed or must be in the final year of your bachelor's degree with any discipline from a recognized university along with the nationality of India.

Eligibility criteria for the I.A.S. is-

>> Candidate should be Indian citizen and must be a graduate candidate from a recognized university.

>> Candidates are in final year of the Graduation can also apply for the I.A.S.

>> Candidate migrated from Nepal and Bhutan since 1962 for permanent residence in India can also apply.

Selection procedure is-

>> Mains exam

>> Personal Interview

And as you are a 20 years old candidate so you have to await for 1 year to apply for the exam.

No, you are not eligible for IAS exam 2016 because your age is below 20 years.

Eligibility criteria for the Civil Services Examination 2016:

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates can apply for the exam.

The minimum age limit on 1st August, 2016 should be 21 years for candidates of every category. You are eligible for the Civil Services exam as you will be 21 years and 29 days on specified date.
