You can Enter in Indian Army through NDA, CDS, UES, SSC modes.
1) NDA (National Defense Academy):- For the NDA exam candidate must have minimum qualification of intermediate with any branch. For Indian Navy and Air force jobs candidate must have passed his intermediate with science subjects. Minimum age for the NDA exam is 16 years and the maximum age for the exam is 19 years. Candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal. Unmarried Candidate eligible.

2) CDS (Combined Defense Service):- For the CDS exam candidate must have complete his graduation or bachelor's degree course. The age limit for the exam is from 18 to 23 years. Candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal. And only unmarried candidaets are eligible.

3) UES (University Entry Scheme):- In this mode the Army Selectors visit your campus and final year students are eligible for this scheme. They will take an interview round and select some candidates for the 5 day training round from all over the college from India. In this scheme the age limit is from 18 years to 23 years. And the candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal. The Selected Candidate will got a Lieutenant rank .

4) SSC (Short Service Selection Control board):- In this mode the candidate can directly apply for the Indian army through online mode. They can fill their qualification and on the basis of merit list candidate will short-list for 5 days training. For this candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or a subject of Nepal. In this type of job the candidate will only take a job for the 14 years period (10 years mandatory + 4 year extra). The candidate can apply for the resign during those 4 extra year time period.

It depends upon qualification of candidates, you'll be able to join this sector at various stages. You can join army after 10+2 as well as after graduation.

With 10+2 levels:

You can join this sector by cracking NDA entrance exam and clarifying the two published test and Services Selection Board.

Age limit is actually 16.5 to 19.5 many years and only unmarried men's aspirants can certainly make an application for entrance examination.

After graduation:-

You can make an application for Combined Defence Services Exam. Unmarried men's and woman prospects can certainly apply.

Age limit is actually 19-24 many years pertaining to Indian Armed service Academy.

This also require entrance test and Service Selection Board.

Depending upon qualification, you can join Army at different stages:

At 10+2 level:

You can join Army by appearing in NDA entrance exam and clearing both written test and Service Selection Board.

Age limit is 16.5 to 19.5 years and only unmarried male candidates can apply for exam.

At bachelor's degree level:

You can apply for Combined Defence Services Exam. Both unmarried male and female candidates can apply.

The age limit is 19-24 years for Indian Military Academy.

In this test also, there is Written Test and Service Selection Board.

It is good to have your interest in serving in Indian Army. To join Indian Army you have to qualify in entrance examination.

The entrance examination is conducted by UPSC as :-

* NDA-- For 10+2 passed or pursuing from any recognised board with age between 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible.

* CDS-- For graduation passed or final year aspirants and age between 19-24 years are eligible to appear.

Both examination is conducted in two stages. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

There is different eligibility to appear for different examination conducted for recruitment of candidates in Indian Army.

To join Indian Army after 10+2 you have to qualify in NDA examination and after graduation degree through CDS examination.

Both examination is conducted twice in a year by UPSC. For NDA age limit is 16.5-19.5 years and for CDS it is 19-24 years.

What is the procedure followed to join in Indian Army? What all the qualifications required for the same? Can someone please answer my query soon? It will be really helpful if you can guide me with the information on the same.
