Re: Is Maths compulsory in CA and MCA?

CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course where as MCA stands for Master of Computer Applications. Both are top professional courses in India having good career scope and job opportunities for the candidates.

In order to be eligible to join MCA course, the minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates is by completion of Graduation with a minimum of 50% of marks. However some universities are also asking for minimum 60% of marks.

Most of important thing is that the candidate should have gone through Mathematics as one of the subject either at 10+2 level or at Graduation level. Otherwise, the candidates are not eligible to join MCA course.

The duration of this course is 3 years and this course is being offered by many of the colleges and universities in India.

One can get top job opportunities in the software industry after completion of this course. Software is in good boom now in India.

In contrast to MCA, Maths is not required for the candidates to join CA course.

One can join this course either after completion of Intermediate or after completion of Graduation as well.

If the candidate wants to join after 12th class, then the candidate should complete the following stages during CA course.
CA Foundation - admission through CPT Exam
CA Intermediate
CA Final

The candidates who completed Graduation can directly apply for Intermediate course.

As you are not interested in Mathematics, it would be better to go for CA course. But it is not so easy to complete the CA course easily.

There were so many subjects and you should gain deep knowledge in all the subjects and ensure that you should not fail in any subjects. If you fail even in one subject, you have to appear for the exams of all the subjects.

Please make a note of it and carry out your preparation accordingly.
