Hi friend.......

BAMS stands for Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery.

BAMS is graduate degree awarded after the study of five and a half years duration, including 1-year internship.

The person having a BAMS degree can practice anywhere in India.

The scope in future:

A BAMS doctor can work in following domains after completion of the degree.

1. General Practice

2. Research

3. Hospital and Healthcare Administration

4. Health Supervisor(As per High courts decision a BAMS doctor can work for the post of health supervisor).

5. Master of Public health.

6. PG Diploma courses.

I got 141 mrks in mhcet in 2014 I want to do mbbs but i dont think this is possible this year.
so my parents gave me an option to do "BAMS".
should i drop this year for preparation of mbbs for next year or do BAMS???

BAMS Stands for Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery.

BAMS Course is Related to Medical Field. BAMS is Medical Academic Graduation Degree.
Duration of BAMS Degree Course is 5 Years.
BAMS Degree Course Deals With the study of Modern Anatomy, Physiology, Principles of Medicine, Social and Preventive Medicine, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Principles of Surgery. Ayurveda Topics is Also Included in This Degree Course.

If you want to do BAMS Course then you have to complete 10+2 Class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology Subjects.

your 12th Class Board must Recognized.

The Minimum Age Limit is 17 years.

SCOPE


BAMS is the study of Ayurveda basically and for knowing the past medical heritage. Chances of Job are very less as there are less jobs in India.

Many BAMS graduates run Hospitals and have their own clinic in various part of country.
