Re: What to do after 12th board exam to become an IAS officer?

Hi

Since you have done your 12th, now you need to become graduate in order to become eligible for civil services examination.

As per the eligibility.

You should be citizen of India
you should have done your graduation from recognized college/institute
your age should be 21-30 for general candidate
21-33 for OBC candidate
and 21-35 for SC/ST candidate

please note that no marks has been mentioned for graduation so you are eligible even if you just pass your graduation

Take the graduation field of your interest and score very high marks to get the competitive edge.
good marks would help you get the job in case you are not able to qualify UPSC

To become an IAS officer, first you pass your 12th standard, then you will have to give UPSC Civil services exam.

But it requires a bachelors degree from a recognised institute in any discipline such as engimeering, agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, bota ny,zoology, physics, etc. which depends on your stream in 12th and your interest.

You age must be 21-30yrs if you are a general vategory student(reserved castes and groups have extension in age limits).

Re: What to do after 12th board exam to become an IAS officer?

HY,
The Civil Services Examination is used for recruitment for many Indian administrative bodies. Civil Service Exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages Preliminary Exam, a Main exam, and an interview.

Now there will be no optional subjects in the preliminary examination. Instead there will be a second paper which will be common for all candidates. It will check the administrative aptitude of candidates-hence its name - the Civil Service Aptitude Test [CSAT].It comprises of Aptitude, General Mathematics,Comprehensive English, etc.
