No, 12th standard with Commerce, students are not eligible for Indian Navy jobs.

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board are eligible for Indian Navy through NDA exam.

Candidates age should be in between 16.5 to 19.5 years.

No, you are not eligible to join Indian Navy after completion of your 12th standard with Commerce stream. To be eligible to join Indian Navy, you should have completed 12th standard with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a Government recognised board.

You need to appear in NDA examination to join in Indian Navy. Other eligibility criteria that you need to fulfill to join Indian Navy through NDA examination is mentioned below :-

=> You should be an Indian National.

=> You should have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and not crossed the age of 19 years.

=> You should be an Unmarried Male Candidate.

=> You should be Physically as well as Mentally healthy.

As per the information you have provided in your query, you have passed 12th standard with Commerce stream and not pursued Mathematics and Physics subjects in your 12th standard, so, you are not eligible to join in Indian Navy.

Being a Class 12th passed candidate with commerce stream you are not eligible for joining Indian Navy as for the same you needed to be a science stream candidate.

But you still have the option of Indian Army if you are looking to be commissioned officer in the Indian Defense Sector and for the same you will need to qualify NDA entrance examination.

--> NDA stands for National Defense Academy and NDA entrance examinations are held twice every year by UPSC in two stages which includes Written examination and SSB ( Service Selection Board ) interview respectively.

--> The minimum qualification which is required by you for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate with your age lying within 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

* You must have completed your higher secondary school degree in any stream from a recognized board.

* You must satisfy the physical fitness as mentioned in the notification of the same examination.

For further details regarding the same examination you can log on to the link www.upsc.gov.nic.in.

At senior secondary level, there is only one examination for which candidates can apply to join Indian Navy, it is National Defence Academy entrance exam.

Eligibility criteria for NDA/NA examination:

*Those who want to join Indian Navy must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2. Mathematics and Physics are compulsory subjects for joining Indian Navy.

Commerce stream candidates are not eligible for joining Indian Navy through NDA exam. You are eligible for Indian Army through NDA exam. For CDS exam at bachelor's degree also, mathematics and physics at 10+2 is compulsory.
