Re: Can I pursue Law after passing 12th?

My son is going to complete grade 12 cbse board and want to study law in canada. What is the procedure. Should he study Diploma in paralegal (2years)or should he do a bachelor degree(4 years) before the LSAT . Or can he directly write a LSAT and do LLB in canada. Please advise me

Generally L.L.B is done after passing graduation but there is another option to L.L.B after 12th also..
You may get admission in 5 years L.L.B course which are organised by many universities ..
For this entrance exams are held. In 5 years course graduation and law graduation both are completed and thus you may save your 1 year which is extent in 3 years bachelor degree course..
Thanks

Why not?? Definitely you're eligible for LLB course after completing 12th standard.

After completing 12th standard you're eligible to apply for Integrated LLB course. The Minimum Educational qualification to apply for Integrated LLB course is that the candidate should be complete 12th standard or equivalent qualification in any discipline from recognized university.

Integrated LLB course means (LLB + Bachelor degree course). The duration of the course is for Five years and course is divided into 10 semester.

Eligibility Criteria for Intermediate LLB course:-

Intermediate course with minimum 50% of marks from a recognized University are eligible.SC / ST applicants have a rebate of 5% of marks in Graduation.Final year students are also liable.

The Applicant age should not be more than 20 years and relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC category candidates.

Selection will be made through Entrance Examination conducted by the Institution/University.

So, After completing 12th standard you're eligible to apply for Integrated LLB course.
