To apply for the assistant professor job, you must have fulfill all the required eligibility criteria.

As per the UGC Norms, the candidates who have completed the post graduation degree and qualifoed the NET exam, are eligible to apply for lectureship.
UGC NET and CSIR NET exam are held for lectureship and JRF.

Educational qualification: Post graduation degree with more than 55% marks from the UGC approved university

Age: There is no age limit for assistant professor but age should be below 30 years for NET JRF.

I am Nadeem Alam Hudawi from Nepal, graduated from Darul Huda Islamic University, Kerala, achieved Bachelor degree from IGNOU ... Can I apply for coming net exam?

I am from Nepal but I have completed my pharm-D graduation (6th year course) from India. I applied for PhD in jss college of Pharmacy for PhD program in pharmacy field. My registration will be in jan 2018. So, i am lokin for Scholarship in India... Is there anyway to get scholarship.

1. Candidate Completed it's Master Degree
2. Age: There no Upper Age for Lectureship

1. Written Test - MCQ Based

You have completed MBA degree so you are eligible UGC NET exam being a candidates of Nepal.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

Educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Marks distribution for each papers of NET Exam:-

Section 1 - 100 marks(60 questions are there)
Section 2 - 100 marks(50 questions are there)
Section 3 - 150 marks(75 questions are there)
