As you have completed your masters in mathematics, you are only able to appear the NET exam in mathematics only. However the state conducts separate NET exam . You have to check the required minimum percentage of marks to be eligible to take the NET. BEST OF LUCK. |

Re: Which subject should I choose for appearing in NET exam being a M.Sc Maths holder? M.sc Mathematics students are eligible for NET Exam. NET stands for National Eligibility Test. Eligibility criteria: Candidate should be citizen of India. Candidate should complete Master degree in Humanities with selected subject or language, social science, engineering science and application etc. Candidate secure min 55% of marks in Masth degree. SC/St candidates min 50% of marks. Age limit: JRF candidates max age limit is 28 years. For Lectureship no age limit. So you can eligible for NET Exam. |

Re: Which subject should I choose for appearing in NET exam being a M.Sc Maths holder? After completion of post graduation in maths you can apply for CSIR NET in mathematical science subject. In UGC NET exam you are eligible for population studies subject. If you have got 55% or above marks in your post graduation then you can apply for both these subjects. Thanks |
