Yes,An Arts students can apply for income tax officer job But first you join should Income Tax Department as Income Tax Inspector and then get promoted to officer post through departmental examination. That's how you become Income Tax officer. Age limit: candidates age must be at least 18 years and not more than 27 years at the time of applying for the exam. |

Yes, candidates passed degree in any discipline are eligible to appear for Civil Service examination and after qualifying in the examination eligible for recruitment in Income tax department as an Officer. The age limit to appear for examination is 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. You will be recruited as an I.R.S Officer after qualifying in examination. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

For recruitment in Income tax department as an officer candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination. Yes, you are eligible to appear for examination after bachelor degree qualification. The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university. The age limit to appear for examination is 21-32 years. After qualifying in all three stages of examination you will be eligible for recruitment as an I.R.S Officer. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

To become Income Tax Officer, you should first join Income Tax Department as Income Tax Inspector or Tax Assistant and then get promoted to officer post through departmental examination. The entrance exam for IT inspector is SSC CGL exam. >>For this exam, you need to have done bachelor's degree in any stream with passing percentage of marks. >>Age limit is 18-27 years. Upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category. You will have to clear Tier I, II and III of this exam to join IT department. Arts stream candidates can join Revenue Services through Civil Services exam. The age limit is 21-32 years. |
