After successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent level of education you can apply for bachelor degree in journalism.

Eligibility criteria for journalism:
1)Bachelor in journalism/Mass communication:10+2
2)Post graduation diploma/Degree: Bachelor degree

Skills required:
1)Presentable and confident personality
2)good communication skills
3)Ability to write and present information accurately effectively.

So if you have such skills and eligibility criteria you can apply for bachelor degree , some of the college/institute conduct test for admission and personal interview whereas some of them take admission on the basis of 10+2 percentage.

Earning potential of a journalist is satisfactory.

To become a journalist you need to do BA(bachelor in arts) in journalism or mass communication.

Eligibility for journalism:

1.First you need to have good communication skill.

2.You should have 12th pass certificate in any stream it does not matter.

There are many good colleges in India which offers you courses in journalism. Some of them are follows:
1.Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC),South Delhi

2.Punjab Agricultural University,Ludhiana

3.Guru Nanak Dev University ,Amritsar

4.Indian Management Training & Research Institute,Jalandhar

5.Lovely Professional University,Kapurthala

6.Mohanlal Sukhadia University,Udaipur

7.University of Rajasthan,Jaipur

8.Bharathiyar University,Coimbatore

some of them are private institute and some of them are government.

So for taking admission in them you have to apply for them.some of the institute conduct their admission test and some of them give admission on 12th mrks base.

Future of journalism is secure and bright ,hence go for it.

best of lk..
