Every year, Numbers of candidates apply for GATE and varies from year to year and differ for different branches. Every year, Total 9,00,00 to 9,50,000 candidates apply for GATE from total 85% and 1,50,000 candidates appeared for GATE exam in well reputed branch. You should score at least 65 marks out of 100 and stand within top 800 candidates to get admission in IITs. You should stand within 3000 candidates to get admission in NITs. GATE Cut Off Depends on Factors Such As - Total Numbers of Applicants - Total Numbers of Seats - Performance of Candidates - Difficulty Level of Exam Tips to Prepare For GATE - Refer GATE Syllabus, Analyse exam pattern and Prepare accordingly. - Refer best books which cover whole syllabus and give easy understanding to clear concepts. - Identify the topics which have fetched more marks and give more importance to them. - During preparation, Highlight the important points such as Equations, Definition, Derivations, Theorems and Laws etc. - Practice on previous asked questions after completion of preparation of each topic. It will gives idea about type of questions in exam and also boost your confidence level. GATE Exam Pattern (Questions : 65, Marks : 100, 3 Hours) - Q.1 to Q.25 will carry 1 mark each (25 Marks) - Q.26 to Q.55 will carry 2 marks each (60 Marks) - Q.56 to Q.60 will carry 1 mark each from General Aptitude (5 Marks) - Q.61 to Q.65 will carry 2 marks each from General Aptitude (10 Marks) |
