Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

hi....!!!

-->In CBSE board, theory paper is of 70 marks and you need to get 24 marks to clear the paper and this is not so difficult to get 24 marks.

-->so don't target 24 marks only but get good marks so that you can attain good percentage.

-->and practical part is of 30 marks for that you have to get 10 marks.

exam pattern:-

-->first section will contain 10 questions and each of them is of 1 marks.

-->second section will contain 15 questions and each of them is of 3 marks.

-->third section will contain 3 questions and each of them is of 5 marks.

all the best....go ahead!!!

Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

Hi dear..

The passing criteria in any board paper is 1/3 marks in that subject.

In physics , chemistry, computer science etc. a student has to pass in both theory as well as practical.

The passing marks for Theory 24 out of 70
The passing marks for practical 10 out of 30

Don't worry because every one can get that much marks easily.
The easiest way to get marks is to study NCERT first, solve the numericals on back and in between the text, then you can refer other books like Modern's ABC or Pradeep.

All the best..!!

Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

You need to attain at least 24 marks out of 70 to pass in theory from your side.
Rest of 30 marks depend on your school. They will give you these marks according to your board practical exams.

Best of Luck!!!

Hye friend you need to obtain 33% in theory paper to pass.Generally theory paper is of 70 marks and practical is of 30 marks .So out of 70 you need to obtain 23 marks and remember that it's necessary to pass individually in both theory and practical. All the best and prepare well.

Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

Hi

As per the CBSE the student has to score 1/3 marks to pass in any subjects.
Since the theory paper for Physics of 12th board is of 70 marks. So you have to score 1/3 marks i.e 24 marks to pass the exam of Physics.

You have to pass in practical exam separately. As upto 10th board the student are considered pass by combining marks of practical and theory. But in 12th board the student has to pass in practical as well as in theory paper.

To get good marks in the theory paper of Physics you may refer the books such as

Pradeep's
ABC

These two books are also helpful for you in various entrance exams such as engineering, medical and all.

So a candidate has to get 1/3 marks in their paper in order to pass the paper of CBSE board.

GOOD LUCK

Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

there are three section in the physics theory paper of total marks 70. so you to gain minimum 24 marks to pass in theory paper.in first section there are 10 question of 1 marks each, in 2nd section there 15 questions of 3 marks each and in last section there are 3 questions of 5 marks .
in practical paper total mark of 30. there you must have to gain minimum 10 mark.

Re: Marks needed to pass in CBSE 12th physics theory?

The paper was consist of two things..
First is practical
and second is theory
and total marks -100
30 marks for practical
and 70 marks for theory
For passed in practical you have to score at least 10 marks out of 30 which you get easily.
And now talking about theory which is of 70 marks you have to score at least 23 marks in theory to pass..
Total marks you get 23+10=33 so 33 is minimum marks you need to score..
this is CBSE board criteria..
