Re: Am I eligible to apply for Bank Clerk exam after completion of intermediate with 50 percent marks?

Irrespective of your percentage of marks in Intermediate, you are not eligible to apply for Bank Clerk Exams.

Because the minimum academic qualification required for the candidates to apply for Bank clerk Jobs is by completing Graduation.

Few years back, candidates of 10+2 are also eligible for IBPS Clerk Exam.

Now the guidelines have been changed.

If you are not a Graduate, you can not give Bank Clerk Exam.

I would suggest you to complete your Graduation first and the apply for Bank Clerk Exams.

You will be eligible to apply from the final year of your Graduation itself.

Better to prepare for IBPS Clerk Exam which is the common written exam to get Clerk Job in any of the public sector bank.

After you crack the written test, you need to get through in Interview also.

As per age criteria for IBPS Clerk Exam,
Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 20-28 years.
Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category.

I would suggest you to give 50% of your time to IBPS Clerk Exam preparation and the remaining 50% of your time to Academics.

Because there is huge competition for this Exam and you need to score top marks in the Entrance Exam to get a call for Interview.

Bank clerk is good designation in public and private sector banks. Banking aspirants who wants to work as a clerk in public sector banks need to pass different stages of written examination. IBPS which stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts Common Written exam for many public sector banks.

It is clearly mentioned that only bachelor's degree passed or final year pursuing candidates can apply for clerical exams of banks. The minimum age limit is 20 years. The first stage is Tier I followed by Tier II and interview.

You are not eligible for Bank clerk exam after intermediate with 50% marks.

--> The minimum qualifications which you must have for appearing in bank clerk examination are as here under :-

a) You must have the citizenship of India.

b) Your age must lie within 20 years to 28 years. Age relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

c) You must have completed your graduation degree course or must be in the final year of same degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.

d) You must have good communication skills with basic knowledge to work on computers.

So just being intermediate degree holder you are not eligible for appearing in bank clerk recruitment examination as for the same you need to be a bachelor degree holder.

Re: Am I eligible to apply for Bank Clerk exam after completion of intermediate with 50 percent marks?

First thing I would like to let you know that for appearing in bank clerk examination the minimum educational qualification required is a bachelor degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.

So just being a Class 12th passed candidate i.e; intermediate degree holder you are not eligible for appearing in bank clerk examination unless you complete bachelor degree course.

Apart from educational qualification, you need to be an Indian citizen with your age lying within 20 years to 28 years ( age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms ) for appearing in bank clerk examinations like IBPS bank examination and SBI bank clerk examination for your recruitment in nationalized banks.

For details regarding above mentioned examinations you can visit their official websites which are www.ibps.in and www.sbi.co.in respectively.
