Re: Procedure to calculate MAT score accurately?

MAT percentage depends upon the 2 factors:

- The candidates who have scored less marks than your score.
- The total number of candidates who have appeared in the exam.

The procedure for calculating MAT percentage is as follows:
- Consider candidates appeared in the exam as Y and consider candidates scored less marks than you as X.
- Consider your percentage as P.
- The formula for calculating percentage is
P = (X/Y)*100

So, you need to collect the data of the candidates appeared for the exam and candidates who have scored less than you and calculate your percentage.

If you want to know your percentile of MAT examination then basically you need to have an information about two things that includes:

1. Total number o students appearing in the exam/ appeared in the exam

2. Number of students who have scored less marks than you.

If you can collect the above two information then only you can get your percentile accurately.

The calculation process includes:

If N is the total number of the candidate appearing in the MAT exam

Then the percentile number score P is given as : P = (Number of candidate who have scored less marks than you / N ) * 100

So, in this process you can easily calculate.

Re: Procedure to calculate MAT score accurately?

In the MAT score Card issued by AIMA there are two scores.
One is the Total composite score out of 800 marks.

You get one score out of this 800 marks and also you get a line percentile below.
Percentile below means total percentage of students who are below your score out of all the candidates who have appeared in that MAT exams

Also subject wise score is given.

If your score is more than 650, your chances of getting calls from GOOD MBA college is very good.
