Re: How to become a CBI officer after completing 12th? For becoming CBI Officer you need to fulfil the eligibility requirements which are mentioned below. Eligibility criteria: - The candidate should be a citizen of India. - The educational qualification required is a graduation level degree in any stream from any recognised university. - The age should be between 20 - 25 years. The upper age limit may vary based on the post in CBI. - There is age relaxation for reservation candidates based on the government rules. Physical standards: - The height should be 165 Cms for male candidates and 150 Cms for female candidates. - The weight should be proportional to height. - The chest should be 76 Cms with expansion. - The distant vision should be 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in another eye and near vision should be 0.6 in one eye, 0.8 in another eye for both male and female candidates. After completing your 12th class education, you need to go for any graduation level degree. If you fulfil all the eligibility requirements then you can apply for the entrance exam named Combined Graduate Level Exam (CGLE) by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). This exam is conducted once in every year. If you clear the exam you’ll be called for personal interview. You need to clear all the rounds in merit.
