Re: How many years does it take to complete CA before or after B.Com? CA stands for Chartered Accountancy and CA course is divided into three stages which includes CPT ( Common Proficiency Test ), IPCC ( Integrated Professional Competence Course ) and the final stage course. As far as you are concerned about the minimum duration of CA course before or after B.Com degree course then it is as mentioned below :- I) In case you opt for pursuing CA course through CPT route, for which the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree in any discipline from a recognized board of education then the minimum duration to complete CA course is 4.5 years. II) In case you opt for direct entry scheme in which you are exempted from CPT, then the duration of CA course reduces to 3 years. But, for this scheme you need to complete your bachelor degree course in commerce stream with at least 55% marks ( or 60% marks in case you have completed your bachelor degree in any other stream ) from a recognized university. |

It takes minimum 4.5 years to complete the CA course after completion of your 12th standard or without pursuing B.Com course and it takes nearly 3 years to complete the CA course after completion of your B.Com course. Candidates who have passed B.Com course with minimum aggregate of 55% aggregate marks from a Government recognised university are eligible to directly register for IPCC without appearing in CPT examination for taking admission in CA course. |

CA refers to Chartered Accountancy and it is a professional degree course after completion of which one heads towards becoming a chartered accountant. The whole CA course is divided into three stages which includes CPT ( Common Proficiency Test ), IPCC ( Integrated Professional Competence Course ) and the final stage course. As far as you are concerned about the minimum duration for completion of CA course then it is 4.5 years through CPT route and 3 years through direct entry scheme. One thing I would like to let you know that, to be eligible for direct entry scheme a candidate is required to have completed his/her graduation in commerce stream with 55% marks from a recognized university. For other stream candidates, the minimum marks required in bachelor degree is 60%. In this scheme a candidate is exempted from CPT. How many years does it take to complete CA before or after B.Com? I want to join CA course but I have heard that it takes many years to complete the course as its exams are the 2nd toughest exams after IPS/UPSC. So, normally if we keep on passing each group without fail than how many years will it take to complete the course? |
