CTET refers to Central Teacher Eligibility Test and the same examination is held by CBSE for recruitment of teachers across various government or private schools affiliated to CBSE.

Being a B.Tech graduate, you are eligible for appearing in the CTET if you hold a professional teacher training degree course such as B.Ed/D.Ed/D.El.Ed degree course along with your B.Tech degree course otherwise you are required to pursue a teacher training degree course to become eligible for CTET.

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The examination is conducted for selection of teacher for primary and secondary schools. The secondary school, academic qualification required is bachelor's degree from a recognized university with minimum of 50% marks and bachelor of education qualification is necessary.

If you have done B.Ed course after B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering then you are able to apply for CTET examination.

CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test) conducted by CBSE(Central Board of Secondary Education) twice in a year for recruitment of teachers in CBSE affiliated schools.
CTET is conducted for primary(Class 1 to 5) as well as elementary stage (6 to 8).
Eligibility for becoming teacher for Class 1 to 5
>Senior Secondary with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education.

Eligibility for becoming teacher for Class 6 to 8
>Graduation with 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education.
>Senior Secondary with 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education
>Senior Secondary with 4 years B.A.Ed or B.Sc Ed.
>Graduation with 1 years B.Ed.

Validity period for CTET certificate is 7 years from the date of declaration of result with no limitation for attempts.

Eligibility to appear in CTET for BTech mechanical graduate:-

Yes, you are eligible for CTET examination.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education recruiting teachers for primary( class 1 to class V) and Elementry( class V to class VIII).

Eligibility criteria for CTET in primary level( Class 1to class V) :-

Candidate who have class VIII or equivalent examination with at least Fifty Percent marks are eligible for CTET.

For SC/ST/OBC/PD candidate 45% marks in class VIII is required.

Candidate who have pass graduation or in final year of graduation can apply for CTET preliminary test.

No minimum age qualification is required for appear in CTET preliminary age.

Eligibility criteria for CTET in Elementary level (class V to class VIII)

Candidate who have to pass bechelor degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.

Candidate who have pass class VIII examination with 50% and in final year of 4 years bachelor degree course can apply for CTET.

The candidate who has completed his or her B.Tech is it is not eligible to appear in CTET examination.
CTET examination is Central Teacher Eligibility Test and is for the recruitment of teachers for primary and elementary classes.

Eligibility to appear in CTET for B. Tech Mechanical Graduate:-

You will be eligible to apply for CTET conducted by CBSE. In order to apply for this exam, The eligibility required are:-

Educational qualification:- For primary stage:-

Your minimum qualification should be 12th pass out from a recognised board.

You should have a primary teacher training degree, B.Ed degree from recognised University.

Educational qualification:- For secondary stage :-

Your minimum qualification should be graduation passed from organised University. You should have a B.Ed degree from recognised University .

Marks: Your minimum marks in 12th class / graduation should be 50%.

Your minimum marks in B.Ed should be 45 %.

Eligibility to appear in CTET for BTech Mechanical graduate?

Hello friends, I am interested to apply in CTET. But I am a BTech graduate. I did BTech in Electrical Engineering. So, I would like to know about the eligibility criteria for me to appear in CTET. Waiting for your response!
