Re: How many vacancies are available under UPSC-IPS recruitment? Total seats in UPSC every year is about 900 to 1000. In this, about 200 to 250 choose IPS. The number of seat is not same in every year. But, on an average at least 150-200 posts are vacant in IPS. |

Re: How many vacancies are available under UPSC-IPS recruitment? There is no vacancies on the discipline basis. So, you are eligible to apply for all the vacancies in the upcoming examination. Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in three stages. For final selection as an officer you have to qualify in all stages. Re: How many vacancies are available under UPSC-IPS recruitment? The vacancies are not categorised on the basis of stream. Every candidate who qualify in all the three stages of examination are eligible for selection. UPSC conducts Civil Service Examination for recruitment of an I.A.S, I.P.S, I.F.S etc. The examination is conducted in three stages. There is no notification regarding the 2019. But the Preliminary ( first stage ) examination will be conducted on 02nd June 2019. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

So, there is no updates regarding the vacancies. The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all stages for final selection. The total number of vacancies for different services for last few years is explained as below: 2015: 1129 2016: 1079 2017: 980 2018: 780. It may change for year 2019. You should wait for notification of next year exam. |

For example, in 2017, it was 980 seats, in 2018 it is 782. These are total vacancies for different services like IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS etc. There are total 150 vacancies for Indian Police Services this year. |

Re: How many vacancies are available under UPSC-IPS recruitment? Number of vacancies changes every year. It varies every year. In 2018 there are only 780 vacancies. And it may increase or decrease in 2019. |

Every year new notification is released by UPSC for number of candidates to be selected. You need to wait for 2019 notification for number of posts available in different All India Services and Central Civil Services. |
