IPS refers to Indian Police Service and to become a IPS officer, you are required to qualify the Civil Services held by UPSC once every year.

--> Further, to be eligible for appearing in the same examination, you are required to hold following qualifications :-

* You must be an Indian citizen.

* Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years. Age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to reserved category candidates.

* You must have completed your bachelor degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.

* Note : For the IPS wing of the Civil Services, physical fitness is also required as per the service requirement norms.

IPS stands for Indian Police Officer.

To become an IPS Officer, you have clear Civil Services Examination. This exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

Final Year candidates are also eligible.

Candidate age must be 21 to 32 years. Relaxation are applicable for Reserved category.

So, yes you are eligible to become an IPS Officer.

If you want to become an I.P.S officer, you have to appear and qualify in all three stages of Civil Service Examination.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted by UPSC. The minimum required qualification is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit to appear in the examination is 21-32 years.

To be an IPS officer, you must hold a degree in any discipline from a recognised University and there is no percentage criteria because only thing required is that candidate must have passed the degree.
The age criteria is that candidate must have minimum age of 21 years and maximum should not exceed 32 years whereas Age relaxation in upper age limit is given to reserved students.
And you have to appear in civil services exam that is conducted by UPSC every year. The exam is conducted in three stages and the first stage exam is conducted in the month of June, 2nd Stage exam is conducted in the month of September. So, you need to be in touch with the official website of the UPSC in order to get notification of the release of Exam dates and application form.

Step to become an IPS officer:-

You can become IPS officer after BSc degree from a progress University.

Educational Qualification:-
The candidate should have passed graduation in any stream from a recognised
University.
Final year students who appeared in last year exam can also apply for UPSC Prelims exam.

Age limit for general category student is - 21 to 30 years
For OBC - 21 to 30 3 years
For SC/ST - 21 to 35 years.

Attempts for general category student is - 4 For OBC - 7
For SC/ST - Unlimited

IPS stands for Indian Police Service which is one of the prestigious posts of nation. This post is filled by Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC exam every year.

To be eligible for this exam, you must have completed graduation in any field. As you have completed graduation course, so you can apply for this exam in the final year of your graduation. Also, after graduation you can apply for this exam.

You will have to qualify three stages to pass this exam i.e.
  • Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam)
  • Mains Exam
  • Personal Interview

Age criteria defined for this exam:
