Yes, it is mandatory to have math in class 12th. one should have math and physics as their main subject to apply for different examination in Indian Navy.
Even though in NDA to opt for Air force and Navy, one should have math and physics as their subjects or one should be a science stream.
For sailor or officers rank in navy one should be a science student with math and physics as their main subject.
Thus, it is mandatory to have mathematics to join Indian Navy.

Aspirants without Maths and Physics can also apply and join the NDA, but they are restricted for joining only the Army wing, eligibility of which is, only 12th pass. The eligibility for Air Force and Navy wing, however, is Maths and Physics at the 10+2 level among others.

Yes, it is mandatory to have Mathematics and Physics in 12th to join Indian Navy.

The eligibility to appear for NDA is that candidate must have passed 12th in PCM as main paper.

The entrance examination is conducted in two stages and candidates have to qualify in both stages for final selection.

Two stages :-

Written.

SSB.

Is Mathematics compulsory for joining in Indian Navy?

Sir, my name is Sanjay and I have a doubt about my eligibility in Indian Navy based on the plus two. I had completed my plus two from VHSE without Math's. But I have an additional certificate in Math's. Then please tell me Sir, am I eligible for the navy recruitment or not?
