To join IMA you can pursue any stream as per your choice. You have to appear and qualify in the examination for final selection.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

Candidates pursuing in 12th are also eligible to appear for examination.

So, you can select the stream as according to your choice.

NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted for recruitment in defence service.

The age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Only male candidates are eligible to appear for the examination.

So, if you want to join IMA, you can pursue any stream in std 11th.

Examination is conducted in two stages.

You must study class 12th with maths as one of the subject if you are looking to join Indian Military Academy, which is possible through UPSC CDS exam conducted for graduates. You must have degree in the same or it's related field too.

Selection will be on the basis of written exam and SSB interview conducted by UPSC. Age should be between 19 to 23 if you are looking to join Indian Military Academy. For OTA (Officers Training Academy) the age limit is 19 to 25 years.
