To apply for b.tech after diploma is known as the lateral entry. hence, many colleges are providing admission through lateral entry, through which one gets directly admitted in 2nd year of b.tech of the college. So. one should have 60% in diploma to apply for the lateral entry. |

Being a diploma holder, you are eligible to get direct admission in second year of B.Tech course through lateral entry admission process. So, you should have qualify all subjects of your diploma course. You have to appear in lateral entry examinations like LEET, ECET etc., to get admission in second year of B. Tech course. |

Re: Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech with backlogs in Diploma? You will become eligible to get admission in B.Tech course through lateral entry only after clearing all your backlogs. So, you have to clear the backlog , if you want to get admission. |

Re: Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech with backlogs in Diploma? Candidates with backlog in the diploma course are not eligible for the admission in the B.Tech course. So, you are not eligible for admission in B.Tech course, with backlogs. Entrance examination is conducted for admission in the course by various institutes. You will become eligible to get admission, once you will clear your backlogs. |

Re: Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech with backlogs in Diploma? You are not eligible for lateral entry with backlogs. So, you are not eligible to get admission in B.Tech course with backlogs in diploma course. You first need to clear the backlog to get admission in B.Tech course. |

Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech with backlogs in Diploma? I have completed my Diploma 3rd year, but I had 5 backlogs. If I clear 3 subjects then is there any chance to write the exam or go to study B.Tech directly without wasting a year? |
