Eligibility for B.Sc. in Forestry:

10+2 in the Science stream, completed from a recognized educational Board.

A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the level of graduation.

Candidates appearing in their final 10+2 exams are also eligible to apply for the course on provisional basis.

Candidate applying for Bsc nursing must be 17 year.

B.Sc(Forestry): Bachelor of Science in Forestry

Bachelor of Science in Forestry in an undergraduate Forestry and Wildlife course.Forestry is art and science of managing forests, tree plantations, and related natural resources.

Duration:

The duration of this course is 4 years and it is divided into 8 semesters.

B.Sc (Forestry) Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have passed in higher secondary (12th) or equivalent from a recognized board or council or University.

Candidates must have PCM(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) in their Higher Secondary education.

Percentage: The eligibility percentage for getting admitted to this course depends on the institute applying to.

Advance Courses in Forestry:

There are available advance courses after completing B.Sc(Forestry) course. The advance Courses are M.Sc(Forestry) and Ph.D (Forestry).

Hi,


If you’re interested apply for BSc in forestry course then you should complete your 12th examination in physics, chemistry, biology with 50% percentage of marks from recognized university .

The admission for BSc in forestry course is based percentage of marks in 12th examination, so, you should sore good percentage of marks in 12th examination.

>> Some colleges may also conduct entrance examination; the entrance examination is based on 12th standard syllabus.

You can go through the 12th books once again.

So, that you can score good percentage of marks in written examination.

Typically, a B.Sc. is for three years, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate(10+2) in science.

Forestry is the science and art of managing tree plantations, forests and related resources. Subjects studied under this degree are Wood Science and Technology, Agroforestry, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Forest Genetic Resources and Forest Biotechnology.

For admission in a bachelor’s degree program you must pass higher secondary education or 10+2 with biology, chemistry and physics as the main subject and minimum of 55%-60% marks from any Institute/university. The duration of the program is of 3 years.

After your degree,you can work as a biological technician, whereas a post graduate degree holder in botany makes him/her eligible for choosing a career in teaching or to take up research work in any well-known university.


Moreover, you can join any reputed organization as plant explorers, conservationists, ecologists, environment consultants, horticulturist, plant biochemist, nursery manager, genetics, molecular biologist, taxonomist, plant pathologist, environmental consultant and farming consultant.
