The eligibility to appear for entrance examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university. If you are a candidate from Biological Sciences and if you are preparing for the Bank Exams, yes you can prepare and crack the bank exams. ... And so, you have had prepared well for bank exams and got through the written exam. |

Re: Can I apply for Banking jobs being a Biology student? Procedure to apply for jobs? Many of the candidates are having the same doubt. You don't need to worry even if you are a Science student. Candidates who have completed Graduation with any of the stream are eligible to apply for Banking jobs. Two entry level positions in various banks are -Clerks -Probationary Officers After completion of Graduation with Science stream, you are eligible to apply for both these positions. As per age criteria, You should be in the age group of 20-28 years to apply for Clerk Exam and it is 20-30 years for PO Exam. Relaxation will be there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST category. IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Every year IBPS conducts common written exam for the recruitment of these positions on behalf of all public sector banks. Candidates qualified in the written exam will be called for Interview as per the cut-off marks decided. You did not mention whether you have completed Graduation or pursuing Graduation. If you are pursuing Graduation, I would suggest you to join Coaching immediately as most of the subjects in the written exam are not familiar to you like Reasoning Arithematic Current Affairs etc. |

The eligibility to appear for entrance examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit varies for different examination. So, you can appear for examination but have to qualify in written and interview stages of examination for final selection. The examination is conducted by IBPS and SBI. Yes you can certainly apply for banking jobs like for the post of bank clerk and bank probationary officer as for these posts there is no compulsion of a particular subjects at any level of academics. * Also for becoming bank clerk or bank probationary officer ( PO ) of a nationalized bank of India you need to qualify bank entrance examination like IBPS bank examination and SBI bank examination. * For appearing the above examination you must hold the qualifications given below :- a) You must have the citizenship of India. b) Your age must lie within 20 years to 28 years for the post of bank clerk where as for bank probationary officer it must be within 21 years to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates. c) You must have completed your graduation degree course in any subject from a recognized university. d) You must have good communication skills along with the knowledge of working on computers as the banking works are computer based. If you have a graduation degree from the recognized university then you can apply for the Banking sector. You need to have some knowledge of computer. Some knowledge about computer's basic skills. You should have basic knowledge in accounting sector. |
