CDS is conducted twice every year by the UPSC. CDS consist of three wings i.e Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy.
For Indian Army candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any subject.
For Indian Air Force candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any respect and had Physics and Mathematics as their subjects in class 12th with 60% marks.
For Indian Navy candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in any respect and had Physics and Mathematics as their subjects in class 12th with 60% marks.
Thus, without one can join Indian Army only after clearing the examination.

Re: Is Mathematics compulsory for CDS entrance examination?

CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and CDS examination is held twice every year by UPSC.

Further, the minimum education required for appearing in the same examination for joining any of its wing is a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Students pursuing final year of their graduation degree course are also eligible.

So, as evident from the above mentioned educational requirement to apply for CDS examination, that there is no requirement of Mathematics or any other subject as compulsory subject at any academic degree level.

Yes, Mathematics is compulsory for CDS(Combined Defense Services) exam.
