Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts Group II examination for the recruitment of various vacancies in Tamil Nadu state Government Departments. The eligibility details for the exam are mentioned below:

The minimum age required to apply for the exam is 18 years.
The maximum age upto which a candidate belonging to general category can apply is 30 years.
Age relaxation is provided for the reserved categories.
5 years upper age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates.
3 years upper age is relaxable for OBC candidates.
10 years upper age is relaxable for physically handicapped candidates.

The maximum age limit is applicable for all the posts except the following posts:

Sub-Registrar, Grade-II Minimum age is 20 years and Maximum age is 30 years.
Junior Employment Officer-Minimum age is 18 years and Maximum age is 40 years.

Coming to the educational qualification, Any degree or a Degree in B.A/B.Com/B.Sc or A degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Engineering from a recognized university.The candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.The candidates must have passed the degree in the order of 10th, HSC, U.G.Degree, P.G degree i.e; 10+2+3 pattern.
