Re: Can I appear for UPSC examination without doing +2 (Intermediate)?

Eligibility criteria for UPSC examination are given below:-

**The candidate must hold a PASS BACHELOR'S degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University, under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

**A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st August of the year of examination if he is a general category student / aspirant. The upper age limit for IAS as well as all services prescribed above is relaxed for OBC, SC, ST and other categories of aspirants.

So, you are not eligible without completing your 10+2.
First you have to complete your Intermediate and then Bachelor degree to get eligibility for UPSC exam.

Only candidates passed bachelor degree from a recognised university are eligible to appear in the UPSC Civil Service examination.

So, if you have passed the bachelor degree from a recognised university than you are eligible to appear in the examination.

The full form of UPSC is Union Public Service Commission. UPSC conducts large number of exams at central level:

1. NDA/NA examination.

2. Civil Service Services.

3. Central Armed Police Force exam.

4. Combined Defence Services.

NDA exam is for 12th passed candidates. Other exams are for graduates. You can not apply for graduation level exams without passing intermediate and having done bachelor's degree from open mode.

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. It is an examination conducting constitutional body. It conducts exams like NDA, CDS, Civil Services, CAPF, IES etc. For 12th board passed candidates, at present there is NDA exam only.

However, in case of graduation level exams like CAPF, Civil Services exam, CDS etc, a candidate must have done 12th then bachelor's degree to be eligible for these exams conducted by UPSC.

Re: Can I appear for UPSC examination without doing +2 (Intermediate)?

If you have not passed the intermediate or any equivalent degree then you are not eligible to get admission in bachelor degree course.

So, even if you have passed the bachelor degree from open it is not valid. You are not eligible to appear for Civil Service examination.

Candidates passed bachelor degree or in the final year of course from a recognised university are eligible to appear in the examination.

The examination is conducted in three stages. Candidates have to appear and qualify in all stages for final selection. For more information visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
