You are eligible to appear for CAT entrance examination and if you will score well in the examination will become eligible to get admission in IIMs and other premier institutions in MBA course. Candidates passed degree from a recognised university in regular or correspondence are eligible to appear in CAT, MAT or XAT examination. |

The basic educational qualification required for appearing in CAT/XAT/MAT and other management admission test is a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate (or 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates from SC/ST and PH category) from a recognised university. So, even if you have completed your graduation degree course in distance mode from IGNOU which is a recognised open university,you are eligible to apply for above mentioned examination if you have managed to secure minimum specified marks in your graduation degree course. Some of the other well known management entrance tests are SNAP, GMAT, MHT CET, etc.. |

Re: Is distance degree acceptable for CAT, XAT and MAT examination? You are eligible to appear in the CAT, MAT, XAT examination. IGNOU is a recognised university. Candidates passed bachelor degree from a recognised university are eligible to appear in the CAT examination. The required minimum aggregate to appear in CAT examination is 50% . There is no upper age limit to get admission. So, you need to prepare for the examination and qualify in it for final selection. |

Is distance degree acceptable for CAT, XAT and MAT examination? Hi, if I have completed my graduation from IGNOU then am I eligible to appear for the CAT entrance examination for MBA admission in IIMs? Or, XAT or MAT exams for MBA admission in other top institutions? |
