No , you cannot appear in PGT exam if you dont have b.ed degree.
Candidate should have master's degree or its equivalent from any recognized university with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in concerned subject and also have good knowledge of computer application. B.ed degree from any recognized university.

Every year different states conduct PGT recruitment exam. The exam pattern itself consists of questions from General awareness, mathematics, historical facts, and science questions and on reasoning.

You can expect another part with descriptive form of paper with 120 marks for a period of 3 years duration. Generally there's no negative marking scheme in the PGT exam.

Qualification and experience required for the entrance exam:

You must have 2 years PG course from recognized university or course or any master's degree from UGC recognized university with at least 50% in aggregate of any subjects like English, Telugu, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and more.

Those who are having B.Ed degrees or any other teaching training certificates can go for trained graduate teachers. PGT is for those who teach in junior classes in school and those teachers who are with B.Ed degree teach classes of secondary schools.

You should have at least 50% aggregate in B.Ed degree from recognized university or college to get eligible for PGT.
