Re: Which exam is conducted for DSP posting? I am a graduate is there any direct recruitment for the post of ACP, SP, DIG, DCP??? i know that all of these are included in police service.. so, do we need to get thru' UPSC to get these posts??? or is there any direct examination for the same?? plzzz help.. i am an undergraduate preparing for UPSC since last month |

I am a graduate if you become a DSP, you must have to join the IPS as an SP for 2 years. you will need to appear for UPSC Civil Service this examination is conducted every year by UPSC. details of upsc exam- 1. Preliminary examination-conducted during the second half of May. The preliminary exam is followed by the main examination and interview. 2. Main examination- conducted during the month of oct/nov. 3. Interview (for those who passed the main examination) Eligibility criteria:- candidates must have degree from a recognized university in any stream. Age limit for General ======21yrs. to 30 yrs. OBC==== 21 yrs to 33 yrs. SC/ST==== 21 yrs. to 35 yrs. |
