Re: Is master degree is compulsory or not to become a High School Government Teacher? My brother wants to be a teacher and he says you have to be well motivated and disciplined to go through all the training and education to become a High School Government Teacher. I believe that both he and you will succeed. |

Eligibility Criteria :- The minimum eligibility to become a government teacher is having graduate degree in any of the discipline. But having a graduation degree is not enough for candidates to apply for teaching jobs. B.Ed is compulsory to become high school government teacher This is one of the most popular courses for getting into the profession of teaching. Duration of this course is two years. After completing this course candidates become eligible to get a teaching job in high school. |

For recruitment as PGT, the minimum required educational qualification is master degree from a recognised university. So, after bachelor degree you will have to pursue master degree and B.Ed qualification to become eligible for recruitment as teacher in high school. |

You must have minimum qualification of Master degree in relevant subjects from recognized university to be eligible High School teacher. You have to go through State Higher Secondary Teachers recruitment to become government teacher. |
