YES, you are eligible to go in police department after completion of Bachelor of Commerce in computer application because the minimum educational qualification required is graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or Institute with at least 55% marks of 50% for reserved category students. The examination is conducted by UPSC, SSC, State PCS, State PSSC. Examination pattern and syllabus varies with examination. So, you can visit the official notification for detail information. |

IPS -INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. IPS officers also lead and command Pata Military forces in india like CP, CSF, BSF etc. The intelligence agencies like intelligence Bureau(IB), R&AW, National Investigation agency (NIA) and even CBI Recruit officers from the Indian Police Service. Eligibility: 1.Candidate should be Indian National. Even NRI can apply for the IPS exam. 2.Qualification requirement is GRADUATION DEGREE in any stream from a recognized university. Age Criteria: The minimum age to appear in IPS exam is 21 while 30 years is maximum. The upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates. For SC/ST the upper age limit is 35 years. You are eligible to get most the positions in police department. You just have clear different stages of recruitment. If you could clear each stage of recruitment than definitely you will be selected as police man/ officer. |

The required minimum eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit varies with examination. Eligibility criteria required to apply are as follows:- Candidate must have completed their graduation from a recognized university in any stream. Candidate must have obtained at least 55% marks in aggregate. Candidate age should be- Minimum age- 21 years Maximum age- 30 years. Relaxation in age will be given to reserved category candidates. Candidate should be physically and mentally fit. |

Yes, why not, students with Bachelor of Commerce degree can get jobs in government police department of state as well as central governments. B.Com candidates can apply for following exam with bachelor's degree for jobs in police department: >>State Police examinations for Sub Inspector, Constable etc. >>SSC CPO exam for various forces. >>Delhi Police exams. >>Civil Services examination for Indian Police Services. The general age limit is 21-30 years for most of these exams. In some states, age limit can vary. Reserved category candidates are eligible for upper age relaxation. |

Students who have completed their class 10 from CBSE , RBSE or West Bengal or any other recognized education board and wish to pursue a career as a police officer are also eligible for police jobs. They can opt for any stream- Science, Commerce and Humanities in their 10+2. |
