NATA or JEE only way to get B.arch seat in India. By answering both exams you can get seat even outside karnataka. RV, bms are good colleges in bangalore. Talk to DQlabs counsellors , they will guide you

3)how to prepare for NATA?

The exam will be of 3 hrs. One has to clear the NATA eligibility criteria before applying. The test is divided into 2 sections.

Drawing Test : It is paper based & is of 2 hrs. duration. It is judged on the aspects like sense of perspective drawing, ability to sketch a given object proportionately, creating interesting 2-D composition using given shapes & forms, understanding of scales & proportions, visualizing & drawing the effects of light on the object & shadows cast on surroundings, combining & composing given 3-D elements to form a building or structural form, creating visual harmony using colors in given composition and drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences.
Aesthetic Sensitivity Test : It is a computer based online test of 1 hr. duration. It is judged on aspects like visualizing different sides of 3-D dimensional objects, analytical reasoning, imaginative comprehension & expression, visualizing 3-D objects from 2-D drawings, identifying commonly used materials & objects based on their textual qualities, mental ability and architectural awareness.

Best of luck

Re: Alternative ways of studying Architechture and Interior Designing without taking up NATA? Architecture colleges in Bangalore? How to prepare for NATA?

hi!

If you want to study architecture & do not want to appear in NATA exam then you should appear in other architecture entrance exam like:

AIEEE - The CBSE conducts All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) for admission into various Engineering/Architecture programmes at UG level.

Karnataka CET - Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is an entry level test for admission into various programmes in Health Science, Engineering, Technology and Architecture offered by colleges/universities/institutes in Karnataka.

IIT JEE - Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted every year for admission into UG programmes in IITs and some other reputed institutes.

Some of the best architecture colleges in bangalore are:

M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology
University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE)
RV College of Engineering

Re: Alternative ways of studying Architechture and Interior Designing without taking up NATA? Architecture colleges in Bangalore? How to prepare for NATA?

Well for studing B.Arch or B.Planning in Indian it is necessary to crack NATA for getting into best and good institutes.

However apart from NATA followings are some of the best and famous entrance for getting into B.Arch

1) AIEEE: It is conducting by CBSE, successfully from last 15 years for providing admission into NIT's which are reputed institutes after IIT's. It consists of 2 papers. 1) PCM and 2) An Aptitude Test for Architechture. Students willing to study B.Tech will take 1st paper, while for B.Arch and B.Plan 2nd paper. Facility is also there to appear in both.

2) IITJEE: As we know it is conducted by IIT's for admission to its B.Tech/Integrated B.Tech+M.Tech and Integrated B.sc+M.sc. Students successfully qualifing IITJEE and want admission int B.Arch had to appear for an Aptitude Test for Architechure, whic is conducted generally on 10th june.

3) Apart from these two state governments which conducts ther own engineering entrance also provide admission to B.Arch course if available but apart from there own entrance NATA score is also required.
For Example:- WBJEE is conducted by West Bengal for admission to college in west bengal, so student w illing to study B.Arch has to appear for both WBJEE and NATA.

Generally Students want to avoid NATA because of the 'Drawing Test'. As it is truely difficult if one doesn't pocess good Drawing and colouring/painting skills. However the other part of Aptitude test which consists of MAthematics and architectural awareness etc. are somewhat easier.

So, first of all go to this:- http://www.nata.in/practice/pt1.htm official link of NATA for taking sample aptitude test. I had attached the NATA sample paper for Drawing test that will help you to understand the required drawing skills. Find the attachment below.

Now, for good performance in NATA you are required to develop excellent drawing skills, because competetion is very high and also just drawing concept in not what you need, 3D Drawing is the major thing which you had to develop, and that can only be teach by some good Caoching for NATA or you have to buy NATA Study material from them.
For example:- Architechure Aptitude is online based India's No. 1 Coaching for all the Architechure and design related test. You can find complete detail @ http://architectureaptitude.com/
