Focus on your maths, science, history and geography subject. These subjects are helpful for exam point of view.
maths formulas are helpful for quant test
Science for the logical test.
history and geography are helpful for general knowledge.

There is no need to prepare for is from 9th standard, but u appreciate your willingness and passion toward your goal.
Ias exam. can be attempted only at the age of 21 so you have many long years ahead of you.

I really like your determination. But there is a long way to success..... At this time you need to ensure that you excel in your current studies at school, so that you can mould yourself for the tough preparation schedule for the civil service exam... Last but not the least, graduate from the toughest course possible.... That way you will cement your grasping power and caliber.... Best of luck for future little champ

Re: How to prepare for IAS from 9th standard?

Dear..

First of all let me tell you that you are now so young for the exam as the minimum educational requirement for the course is graduation and you are still in class 9th so you have long time available with you.

Dear the exam is considered as the toughest exam in India so as you have planned for it very earlier so let me tell you that you have to go through two phases of the exam after you graduation, First stage is the Preliminary exam where you have to answer objective type question and after that you have to go for a theoritical paper.

As i said exam is very tough so preparing for the exam as earlier as possible is the best option to clear the exam. Make it a habit to read newspaper, read GK books, clear your doubts instantly.

Do graduation in that subject which you are most comfortable with.

Hope it will help

Cheers...!!!

It's really great to know that you have cultivated the interest to prepare for IAS exam from your 9th grade itself.. Am sure you will reach your goal, just don't lose your hope and work hard for every day...

Some of the tips to prepare for IAS exam from 9th are as follows...

-> MANAGE YOUR TIME WELL : It is known being in school for 8 hrs a day and coming home by evening, we feel to take rest and watch some tv.. but if you want to reach your goal in future you have to sacrifice something in present.. am not saying you have to

completely stop taking rest or watching tv but to manage your time well.. set a list of priority daily like which have to be finished first and in that list always have the topic for IAS preparation.. if you can spend an hour daily for IAS preparation then am sure you will

easily crack the exam...

-> KNOW THE EXAM AND PATTERN : Try to know the pattern and the format of the exam i.e syllabus followed.. most of the questions in the exam is based on your school studies rather than college.. for appearing to IAS exam you must finish any degree ( college ) in

-> I have also attached some of the previous year model papers of IAS exam in this post.. just go through the papers and try to find out the flow of questions followed and try to prepare for the questions based on that...

-> Read daily newspaper and watch daily news in TV to gain general knowledge and general awareness..

-> Develop your English and Aptitude skill right from your 9th std, there are many books available in the market like R.S.Agarwal which helps you in that..

Re: How to prepare for IAS from 9th standard?

hey,
i like your enthusiasma and dedication towards IAS.
But i want to tell one thing these is not the age for IAS preperation.

For IAS you must be graduate from any feild. So first you have to decide from which feild you have to do graduation.
so,for IAS paper the subject you studied through graduation is very important.

Must make the concept of 11 and 12th class as good as possible because thesealso useful in IAS paper.

i hope this information will help you.
good luck

Re: How to prepare for IAS from 9th standard?

IAS exam is a tough one to crack. So the preparation for this exam should be very systematic and dedicated. This exam is fully loaded, the questions are from a wide range of topics.Among the topics, the one which stands out is General knowledge. You could start preparing on these lines.Start making a note of the major political and administrative changes taking pace in the country. Also do concentrate on your school education, as that is also equally important.
