you can choose any stream in 11th for attending civil services exam.
basic educational qualification required for civil services exam is a bachelors degree in any stream from a recognized university. so choose any stream in 11th and do a bachelors degree in any discipline and upon completion of that apply for civil services exam

for law also you can opt any stream in 11th. but it is better to choose commerce stream according to me. upon completion of 12th class you can apply for LLB with minimum of 50% marks to pursue law.

Gud Luck.

Hello friend,
As you know that to be eligible for civil service exam, you must be a graduate. Since you have just qualified your 10th exams, you have a long way to go.
Now, as far as selection of a particular stream is concerned, it should be based on your interest and expertise because if you follow the stream of your interest in your +2 and graduation, you will do well in your future, whichever way you go.
The results of civil service exam 2010 is an great example. Out of the 25 top scorers, 15 of them were engineering graduate and 5 from medical background.
So, you can see that, those candidates followed the stream of their interest because civil service exam is neither based on engineering subjects nor on other particular subject.
The preliminary exam/CSAT is based on general studies, logical reasoning and analytical ability, data interpretation and numeracy, comprehension, interpersonal skills etc.
The main exam is based on English, Indian Language, Essay ,General Studies and two papers of your choice, i.e optional paper where you can take the subject you have a deep interest in and have sufficient knowledge of.

As far as pursuing law is concerned, you can write common law admission test which is jointly conducted by 11 national law universities of India. To be eligible for the test, you must have qualified +2 level of examination, conducted by a recognized board, with a minimum of 50% marks.
After qualifying the exam, you may pursue BA LLb from any of the 11 national law universities.
