Candidates from any stream, i.e. Arts, Science or Commerce, with a graduation degree are eligible for the civil service examination conducted by UPSC.

Age limit of 21-30 years. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible upto 35 years of age and candidates belonging to OBC are eligible upto 33 years.

There are three stages of written examination

- Preliminary Exam- Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT)

- Main examination

- interview.

Is the BSc.BEd-4years integrated degree course in maths from Pondicherry University is recognised in Tamilnad govt for appointment as teachers in school education department? If so can anybody help in giving authority for recognition bcos in some schools the job is denied...

Dear,

Yes , you can apply for the IAS exam after B.Sc/B.Ed because the minimum educational

qualification required is to be a graduate.

Age limitation is between 21-30 years with 5 years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates

and 3 years relaxation for the OBC categories.

In order to appear for the MAINS exam , you need to clear the CSAT i.e. civil service

aptitude test , conducted by the UPSC.

General categories get 4 while reserved categories get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

The exam pattern consists of Preliminary , mains and interview.

Yeah you are eligible for the exam

the details about IAS exam exactly called as CSE(Civil Service Examination)

IAS is an central service and also deeply regarded as d most prestigious job..

Like this service there are other 24 services for which a common entrance test is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination

->Candidate must have 21 years of age

->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University

this is all about the basic eligibility criteria of CSE

As per your qualification if you have completed Degree then definitely you are eligible for the exam..

You can eligible for giving exam of IAS ..
If you want to being IAS then go for it....But you have to well prepare for this ..
you have to knowledge about current affairs and you have to idea about how to solve aptitude type questions....

ya ofcourse you can give the ias entrance exam after BSC.
it requires a bachelor degree certificate from any of the university. and the candidate must 21 years of age.
you have to clear the preliminary and main examination to become an ias officer.
and even you should get 1st rank in these exams.
so work hard till you get success.

IAS exam are conducted by UPSC as civil services exams every year.
After completing your Graduation degree you are eligible for IAS exam but your age should be 21 to 30 years.

Detailed eligiblity criteria for UPSC IAS EXAM:
Age limit:21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs .

Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

Number of Attempts:
Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. (If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt)

If you have thorough knowledge of subjects you are choosing in IAS exams & also have good GK & updated current affairs knowledge,surely you can clear IAS Civil services exams.

Yes you can apply for the exam because the eligibility is that you should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university which can also include subjects like science,engineering,physics,maths,etc.

Candidates from any stream, i.e. Arts, Science or Commerce, with a degree are eligible for the civil service examination. Apart from Educational qualification, the candidate should be within the age limit of 21-30 years. CSAT syllabus
Paper 1
Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian national movement
Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change
General science.

Paper 2
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision making and problem solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level),
Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
English language comprehension skills (Class X level)

Main Examination syllabus

The compulsory subjects for the Main exam are one Indian language, English, Essay and General studies.
As far as optional papers are concerned, candidates have to choose any two subjects out of the following list
Agriculture Mathematics, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Mechanical Engineering Botany, Medical Science, Chemistry, Philosophy, Civil Engineering, Physics, Commerce,Political Science ,Economics ,Psychology Electrical Engineering Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Geology, Statistics, Indian,History, Zoology,Law.

i am student of b.sc,bed intigral course right now second year of b,sc,bed my quetion is that can i give ias exam after b.sc,bed programme i mean graguation because i take b.ed so i confused i want to become ias officer so please help me suggest me science student also can give civil exam?
