Creteria for eligiblty for public sector unioun jobs are:


*Must be graduate from any recognised university.

*Must be graduate from core branches like ECE,Mechanical,Electrical,Civil from reputed university.

*Must have miniumum aggregate of 50% in your graduate study

Eligibility for PSU(Public Sector Undertaking)

Educational qualification :-

PSU stands for Public Sector Undertaking. There are more than 150 such PSU that offers jobs to Engineering graduates. PSU basically means a company that is controlled by the government. The government owns minimum of 51 percent stake to maximum of 100 percent stake in such companies.

There is no common entrance test for job in Public Sector Undertaking. Each company will issue a notification depending on the vacancies. This notification is published on all leading newspapers as well employment weeklies.

If there is a job vacancy for candidates of your stream, then only you should apply for the job. Below is the criteria.

1. A B.Tech/B.E. degree from a recognized college.

2. Minimum of 60 percent marks.

3. There should be no pending backlogs.

4. A valid GATE score may also be required.

5. The age limit is 21 to 30 years.

6. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.

7. SC/ST are eligible for upto 5 years relaxation.

Indian Engineering Service is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. There are more than 300 jobs in various government departments for which Indian Engineering Service exam is conducted.

1. Candidate should be Indian citizen.

2. B.Tech degree from a recognized university.

3. There is no minimum percentage criteria.

4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year.

6.Nationality: The applicant must be citizen of India, subject of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, Indian origin who have migrated from selected countries in order to settle in India permanently.


7.Educational qualification: Degree in Engineering, final year students can also apply on provisional basis. Additionally, the candidates have to be physically fit as per the guidelines of UPSC.


8.Age limit: Age must be more than 21 years and less than 30 years. The upper age relaxation for SC, ST, Government servants is 5 years; for OBC is 3 years and for physically challenged is 10 years.

PSU i.e Public Sector Undertaking exam is vary from company to company.
For maximum PSU exam required at least 60% marks in graduation.
A engineering graduate student can apply for the Job in Bhel, ONGC, HPCL, NTPC etc.

UPSC Indian Engineering Services (IES) Examination - Eligibility Conditions

(I) Nationality:

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or

(b) a subject of Nepal, or

HPCL Recruitment of Officer Trainees- Engineering Disciplines

Eligibility

Qualifications:

Full time Graduates in Engineering / Technology in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electronics & Telecommunications Discipline from a recognised Indian University / Institute. Max Age Limit.SC/ST: 30 years (as on 16th Jan, 2009), after allowing age relaxation as per Govt. Directives. OBC: 28 years

SC/ST candidates scoring minimum 50% (in aggregate) and OBC Candidates scoring minimum 60% (in aggregate) till the last semester (as of 16th Jan’09) are eligible to apply. ABOUT IES ELIGIBLITY -

IES Examination are conducted by UPSC every year and to apply for this examination you need to be a engineering degree from a recognised university, So if you have a engineering Graduate, then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination, Final year degree candidates are also apply for IES Examination.

To apply for IES Examination your age should be 21 to 30 years, And general candidates will gets only 4 Attempts to apply for IES Examination, The notification was published in the employment newspaper or in the Official website of UPSC, Eligible candidates may apply for IES Examination Online By visit the UPSC Website.

Hello, Almost all PSU's and IES requires only graduation as eligibility. So if you are an engineering graduate, go ahead. Remember, all the exams of class-1 level in India needs graduation.
