Is a PhD in economics useful?


PhD programs in economics (and related areas like business economics or economics and public policy) train students to conduct independent research. Recipients of PhDs go on to careers in academia, government, and the private sector.

The jobs include Auditor, Stock Broker, Media Analyst, Actuarial, Lecturer or Professor, Banker, Economist, Geographer, Econometrician, Public Relations Officer, Industrial Organization Economist, Political Scientist, Consultant, Financial Consultant, Advisor, and Accountant.

Yes, PhD in economics is useful for students.
Students who do PhD in Economics have better economic knowledge, and decision-making skills which makes them an ideal candidates to get hired in the banking and finance industry, and government organisations also look for such candidates.
