Please tell me whether my daughter is eligible for appearing in 10th Board exam or not because she is right now 13 years of age and studying in 10th standard. She will give her Board exam next year from WBBSE Board.

Your daughter is not eligible for attending 10th board examination of West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination because as per WBBSE Circular no DS(E)/192/12 released on date 30th August 2012, the minimum age limit to appear for board exams is 14 years and 4 months on 1st March of year of examination.

Here, you have not mentioned exact age like 13 year or some months. If your daughter's age is 13 years and 4 months or more then she can appear for next year board exams or not.

Yes, surely she will be eligible for appearing in board exam next year without any doubt. Just make sure you complete all the formalities which will be completed at the school.
Age is perfectly fine to appear in the class 10th board examination. Hence, no need to worry about anything.

To be eligible to appear in 10th standard WBBSE Board examination, the candidate must have attained the minimum age of 15 years as on 31st October of the year of examination. If the candidate fails to meet the minimum age limit of 15 years, he/she will not be allowed to appear in 10th standard WBBSE Board examinations.

There is no such hard and fast age criteria for appearing in the 10th examination but yes, there is a criteria for the admission.

According to the norms of the CBSE, the candidate should be at least 5 years of age at the time of admission in 1st standard, and according to which the age is calculated in the higher classes. So, I fear that your daughter may not be allowed to write the examination because she is not going to be 15 years at the time of examination.

No, there is no possibility for your daughter to appear in 10th Class WBBSE Board Examination. Yes, as she not met the required age criteria I can say that she is not eligible to appear in 10th Class WBBSE Board Examination. The minimum age required to pursue 10th Class in WBBSE board is 14 years or 14.5 years and the maximum age must not exceed 16 years. So I suggest your daughter to wait for an year in order to be eligible for giving 10th Class Board Examinations. If she is 13 years old candidate this year, then she may appear in 10th Class board examinations next year. But if she will get 13 years next year, then in this case your daughter is not eligible due to lack of proper age.
