Sir, I have passed 10th class exam. What should I do in class 11th. Which course I choose. Is computer science necessary for software engineering in class 11th.

It is not necessary to have computer science in std 12th to become software engineer.

Candidates passed 12th in PCM stream are eligible for admission in B.Tech course. So, even after pursuing 12th with PCM, you will become eligible for admission in B.Tech course in Computer science which is helpful for becoming software engineer in future.

If you want to pursue software engineering after completion of 12th standard then, it is advisable that you should opt for non- medical stream in your 11th and 12th standard along with computer science subject if it is available in your school.
