NO, You cannot join Indian airforce just after passing class10th.


You can apply for the Indian airforce after passing class 12th.
You can apply for the NDA exams.

Below is the Eligibilty for the NDA exams:

Education:

Indian Airforce and Indian Navy Wing- 12th class or Intermediate Pass.In class 12th you should have studied the subjects Physics and Maths.

Indian Army- 12th class or Intermediate Pass in any stream

Age-
Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years

No age relaxations is given to any candidates who apply for the NDA exams

After 10th one is not eligible to join Indian Air Force as an Officer.

Indian Air Force can be joined through NDA after 12th for Science stream.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Air Force wing of NDA, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Regarding Physical requirement such as Height, Weight etc. a file is attached herewith for reference.

Sorry 10th pass is not enough qualification for Indian Air Force.

You should be 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry and Maths to become eligible for Indian Air Force.

So take admission into 10+2 with above subjects and study well. After completion you will be eligible for NDA examination.

For NDA exam age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an unmarried male from India.

The selection will be based on the performance in the Objective type exam, SSB and Medical examination.

You also must have good eyesight if you want to join Air Force.

Other than NDA you can also apply for Group X Technical Trade and Group Y Trade in Indian Air Force which are non officer posts.

After 10th,you can not join Indian air force. You have to completed 12Th class from a recognized board so that you can apply NDA exam.


NDA stands for national defense academy examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in year as NDA(1) and NDA (2).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED -

your age should be 16.5 to 19 years and only unmarried male candidates can apply for this examination. to apply for air force

or naval wing examination you should passed 10+2 with physics and math’s as compulsory subjects. to apply for army wing examination

you should passed 10+2 in any discipline from a recognized school.

The examination is based these criteria -

Scheme of the Examination

Papers will be objective type. Medium of examination is English only.

Syllabus for Entrance Examination
Paper I - Mathematics: (Maximum Marks 300)
Arithmetic, Mensuration, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics.
Paper II - General Ability
Part A - English (Maximum Marks 200)
Part B - General Knowledge (Maximum Marks 400


Selection Process;-

There will be two papers viz., Mathematics and General Ability Test papers. Mathematics paper will be of 300 marks with 100 questions. General Ability Test will consist of 200 questions with 600 marks. Thus, NDA exam will have total 900 marks.

Candidates shortlisted in NDA & NA exam need to pass SSB interview for final selection as an officer.

Last Date of Filling Application;-03/062013

NDA & NA exam II 2013 will be conducted on 11 August 2013.

One after completing Intermediate Exams
After completing Graduation
Then after completing Graduation.

Combined Defence Service Examination
After completing Graduation in any stream with Physics and Maths is applicable for CDSE.
Age Limit-18 to 23 years(At the time of Commencement of Course)
CDSE is applicable for applying in Flying Branch as a Fighter Pilot

Selection Process is of three stages
1)Written Exam after that
2)SSB interview
PABT test-Pilot Attribute Battery Test for Fighter Pilot then at last
3)Medical Test
CDSE is conducted twice in a year

AFCAT-Air Force Common Admission Test
It is same as CDSE for Graduate candidates but for other Indian Air Force Branches
Selection Process is same as of CDSE
1)Written Exam
2)Service Selection Board
3)Medical Test

No, you cannot join Indian Air Force directly after 10th class. At first, you should complete your 12th class. All men, who have passed the exam of class 12th, may join National Defence Academy (NDA) by passing the written exam and SSB interview. Once the training is completed, the candidates join the IAF.
