I completed my mca in 2011.Now i want to do phd in computer science.is mtech necessary to phd or not?

You have completed MCA degree so from my point of view you are not eligible to attend in PHD program .

You can Attend in PHD course in three way like-

1) MCA + M-TECH

So if you have completed M-Tech degree then you are eligible for attend in PHD course.

2) MCA+M.Phil

If you have M.Phil degree then also you can apply for PHD course .

3)MCA+ NET score

If you have valid NET score then you can apply for PHD entrance exam.

The another option for you , You can join in some institute for JRF or SRF .If you once completed your degree then you can apply for PHD course .

Sorry to say that you cannot do Ph.D in computer science after completion MCA.

If, you are interested to do Ph.D, then first of all you will have to complete any one of these three processes:-

* Completing M.Phil after MCA, then you can do Ph.D course.

* Completing Net after MCA, then you can give Ph.D examination.

* Completing M.Tech after MCA, then you can do Ph.D course.
