The civil service examinations have a compulsory Hindi paper. The total duration of this paper is 3 hours and the total marks for this paper is 300 marks. There are six questions. One essay of 100 marks, reading comprehension for 60 marks ,summary writing for 60 marks, Hindi and English translations for 20 marks each and then sentence making and sentence correction for 20 marks each. All the questions are compulsory and each question answer is to be written precisely. Students are advised to write their answers to the point and concise as this will fetch them special credit.
