JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination and it is an engineering entrance examination held for selection of students for their bachelor degree in technical courses from top government engineering colleges like IIT, NIT, IIIT, ISM, CFTI and top private engineering colleges too.

JEE is held in two stages which includes JEE Main and JEE Advance respectively.

JEE Main is an MCQs bases examination consisting of 90 questions of 4 marks each. Out of these 90 questions , 30 questions are from Physics, 30 questions are from Mathematics and 30 questions are from Chemistry which are based on the overall syllabus of Class 11th and Class 12th.

As you are concerned about the subject wise cutoff marks in JEE then the answer is no there is no such cutoffs based on subjects but to be considered as a qualified student in JEE one must secure a minimum of 10% aggregate i.e; 12 marks in each subjects.

For more detailed and exact details about JEE, you can refer to the link www.jeemain.nic.in.
