Hello sir i m preeti, b.sc.(bio) 3yr student i want to know that...biology student can apply for C.D.S.or not..????

Yes. The candidates who have completed B.Sc in Biology are eligible to apply for CDS Exam.

But the thing is they are not eligible to apply for all the defence services through this Exam.

Here is the complete information in regarding to that.

Every year UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will conduct CDS Exam twice a year to recruit the candidates into following defence services
Indian Military Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Indian Air Force Academy
Officers Training Academy

As you don't have Mathematics subject in your Graduation, you are eligible to apply for IMA and OTA.

To apply for IMA, the maximum age limit is upto 24 years and for OTA it is 25 years.

The nationality of the candidate should be India to apply for this Exam.

As you are pursuing your final year of B.Sc course, you can apply for this exam once you have done with your Graduation.

Have good preparation for this Exam and crack it.

No minimum percentage of marks are required for the candidates in Graduation to apply for this Exam.

CDS stands COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE

CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Air force, Army and Navy.

Educational Qualification :-

For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering.

Yes , B.Sc final year candidate are eligible for CDS exam.

Age Criteria :-

For IMA: 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years
For Officers Training Academy: 19-25 years

Im 11 class student....I didn't get maths....but im interested to become an army officer. What I have to do after 12?

Sir I am a eleventh class student and I have opted for biology as my stream but I have mathematics as my optional subject. So sir can I still be able to give CDS for INDIAN AIR FORCE.

I am Prabhakar pandey I am pursuing Bsc(bio) 1st yrs student so can I apply for CDS in appearing Bsc 3rd yrs

I am an integrated Ms student in IISER mohali. I am presently in 4th year of my 5yr course and majoring biological science. I have learned physics, mathematics, chemistry, and Biology during 2yrs of my course. I would like to know, while doing my final year if i could apply for CDS exam for a preferred post in IAF or NAVAL Academy.
