IAS exam which is conducted by upsc is one of the toughest exam in india for this a lot of hard work is required
so my advice is that first of all complete your btech degree and at least fix one job for you in public sector and then start preparing for the exam

Subjects for Preliminary Examination:
paper I - The General Studies paper is compulsory.

Subjects for Paper II (one subject to be selected) -

6.Commerce,
7.Economics,
8.Electrical Engineering,

You have to choose any one subject from the above list. You can opt to any subject, it entirely depends on your interest and some little knowledge about any subject.

Its not necessary that you should take only technical subjects, here you can opt to arts/humanities subject or medical science or Science/technical subjects. But ultimately it depends on your interest.

Dear friend there is no provision to apply for IAS in appearing student, you have to wait untill your result will not be published.
Then you can fill up the form of IAS.

Hello,
since you are in the final year you can apply for the upcoming exam in the UPSC and all you need to select the stream to take in the prelims and the main exam and also you opt for the engg subjects also as one of the subject but the another must be different from the engg subject. Try to take a coaching class in the earliest.

Yes you can apply for IAS because you are in final year and upsc level ias test is one of the most tough test so you have to work hard

this exam is conducted only once in a year.

Well you are eligible for IAS exam only after you complete your engineering. So as for now start preparing for it. Its tough to crack IAS in first attempt but i would advise you to give it a try just for experience

But if you really wanna crack IAS drop a year after you engineering and then prepare hard for it by taking some coaching.

Dear don't take such a big risk
BECAUSE
It is one of the toughest exam conducted by UPSC

you must concentrate on the subjects of final year

This is good to see your interest in administrative services like IAS. Yes you can apply for it as you are in final year of engineering.
You have to take some coaching for it otherwise you can prepare himself.You just collect the study materials from the internet or purchase some reference books for it.

Ans - you can give exam during your graduation final year. IAS is conducted by UPSE. BUt after clearing the screening and main exam of IAS you can show the your all educational certificate at the time of interview. You can also join the IAS coaching institute for your prepreation or make systamatic schedule for preparing during your final year study.

Though UPSC is not putting forward any rule regarding this, you can now concentrate on your studies now and finish your exams nicely. Final year graduates can apply and write IAS exams provided they can submit degree completion certificate at the time of interviews. But it is better to complete the graduation and then concentrate for an year preparing for IAS exams as it covers broader topics like GK too.

you can write the preliminary exam while you are inthe final semester of your engineering.when you writing the main examination you should have your degree certificate with you.

To appear for IAS exam you should have Graduation degree form a recognized university.
IAS exam are conducted by UPSC every year.

First try to complete your engineering so that you will be eligible for IAS exam.

For IAS, you need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC every year.

For this to be eligible, you should have completed your graduation from a recognized university.

One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to appear for this exam.

The selection procedure will be by
1)CSAT- Civil Services Aptitude Test
2) Main exam
3)Interview.

CSAT consists of two papers. One will have emphasis on General knowledge and other one is on Aptitude.

Try to be good in these aspects by the time you appear for the exam.

i am final year of B.com can i appear IAS exam ?

For Competing IAS Exam you need to be All clear in Your Graduation (For joining as an IAS officer)

But as far as Giving IAS i.e Civil Service Exam you need to Crack Civil Service Examination .

Civil Service Aptitude Test Or Civil Service Exam is conducted by upsc Government every year. Its having Two exam one is prelims and 2nd one is Mains(you are eligible for this Exam if and only if you clear prelims.)

And for its Eligibility :-

Educational Qualification:-

Must hold a degree of any Discipline from any Recognized University.And Final Year Students are Also eligible

Age Limits:-
Must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 20XX(year of Exam),

i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1980 and not later than 1st August, 1989.(This is For IAS 2011 & For Next year Exam it will be different )

According to IAS examination authority the candidates in final year can appear for IAS exam but at the time of result declaration you have to show your degree of the whole graduation.

s u can apply for ias xam now but u have to concentrate more on that xam.as u r studying final year u can not concentrate more on xam u will loose an attempt.so better to write the xam after completing ur studies and have coaching for civils.all the best

as ur are a final tyear student u have the best oppurtunity to preapare for IAS.
i would refer u to go through the the subjects in which u r confident enough.
then after completing ur btech,u need to take IAS coaching from diffferent institues.as IAS is a very tough examination and it needs brillance and exellence to crack the exam.
i would strongly reccommend to go through the papers in which u r strong at.
different IAS caoching centres are provided in almost all the cities

and then further prepare for that
