i am pursuing b.tech in computer science and engg. currently in 3rd year i want to join Indian Navy am i eligible to give the entrance exam ? please send me the complete description about the exams and dates of the and the criteria of selection.

as you are btech student from cse in depends...whether you will be given chance to give the exam....right now there are post for cse but for the last year students only and passout...you being in 3rd year have to wait.
exam date will be in month of may and selection criteria is that you have to clear the written test and also the interview..
written test will be on general knowledge and tech knowledge...

you can apply for navy in the field in which you are when posts are available then they give their advertisement in the newspapr etc. you have to fill form and send it.......

Indian Navy conducts SSC tests and interviews for engineering graduates for their engineering and electrical branches. But CS engineering is not included in the qualification criteria for appearing for these SSC test.

See as you are in third year of b.tech (CS) it will be better for you to opt for software field rather than going for Navy.

SSB Interviews: January- June, 2010

sir i have filled the form for indian navy pclogistics cadre course commencing jan 2011. but i have not self attested my passport photo pasted in it. apart from the i've fulfilled all the requirement given in the instructions. please inform me that whether my form will be accepted or not.

you can apply in indian navy after b.tech.

but in final year of your , you can also eligiable to attain indian navy exam.

this is known as UES(University entry scheme), through this scheme you can join indian navy.

after complition of your graduation degree, you can also join indian navy.

for this scheme you give UPSC exam.

To join the Indian navy after B.Tech you have to sit for the entrance tests conducted by the IMU..

After cracking this test you can pursue the post graduation courses in marine engineering..

Then you have to go through some trainings at the designated branches of indian navy and then you can join in the post of deck cadet or junior technical officer..

you can join in indian navy after b.tech.

you can get chance in indian navy after b.tech in two ways

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through UPSC exam. this exam you can appear after your graduation course.

*Physical std- min height 157 cm with corelated weight

hi,after u r degree u will be suitable for indian navy ,here the SSC exam will be held on apptit,writing .Your agg should be 60% .Height should be 157 cms and above age shotld be 1988 2nd july to 1993 july 1st , site will be 6/24,6/6 like that no black &night blind . We have another opp after intermediate their will be an exam Senior secondary recuriment(SSR) will be held .your +2 should have 65% on espec physics,chemistry notification will be on every year exam will be dec . After B.Tech you can join Indian Navy..
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..
C.D.S you have to qualify the C.D.S exam..

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

IMPORTANT DATES FOR C.D.S. EXAM.(II), 2012
Date of Notification:-02.06.2012
Last date of receipt of form:-02.07.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:-16.09.2012(SUNDAY)
