Yes go for it. Aeronatical engineering has really good scope nowadays. Lots of companies are hiring the aeronatical engineers immediately. The fees varies in different colleges. Like in IITs its around 30,000 per annum and in some private it can even go in lakhs

So think about it. In order to get into aeronatical engineering you have to prepare for entrance exams like IIT JEE, AIEEE, ISAT

Cheers

Yes, ofcourse. Most beneficial. Has huge scope. Since she is being twelfth, her only aim is to get more marks.ie above 1150/1200. Since this field of engineering is only in limited colleges, she has to work hard to get the merit seat. Dont worry about the scope. Good package and nice future is ahead. All the best

Yes very good scope indeed. Govt. fees is around 25 - 35 thousand annually and if you want hostel also then the charges are very less around 15000 but fees of good private institue is in lakhs and hostel charges around 50 thousand per year. Make sure that you choose the right private college. She will have to give entrance tests like IIT JEE and AIEEE there are some good universities in chennai but first of all try in IIT Chennai and then Anna University

Hi
Yeah, Aeronautical engineering is good for your daughter.
This branch have good scope and also have very high pay scale.
But this is possible only from cracking one of the good entrance exam.
Like AIEEE, IIT, JEE.
Lumpsum amount you have to invest for this course-300000 to 500000.

Dear sir, yes sir aeronautical has a good scope in future . The fee structure is varies according to unversity and colleges rules ,every institutes/university offering aeronautical engineering have there own fee structures you have to approach directly to the college for getting the fee structures .
The procedures is simple just ypur daugehter need to fill a form and apply to respective colleges of her choice .One such college in bangalore is "HAL" which offers this course.
Thank you

Hello sir,

Aeronautical engineering is definitely one of the best career option in the engineering field. An aeronautical engineer is involved in the entire process of designing and developement of aircraft, spacecraft, satelites etc.
An aernautical engineer is employed in the Airlines, Flying clubs, aircraft manufacturing industries of both private and government bodies.
The opportunities in this field is ever growing and so is the rewards.

In Chennai, aeronautical engineering is offered by Indian Institute of Technology (www.iitm.ac.in)
Please visit the website for informations related to admission process, fee structure etc.

The scope of aeronautical engineering has gone up since the Indian skies have been opened up. An aeronautical engineer can look forward to work in airline companies or other related areas. They can work in the public and as well as the private sector. The public sector companies which recruit these engineers are HAL, NAL, ISRO, DRDO etc. where they can earn salaries starting from Rs. 10,000. Private companies are better pay masters when compared to their counterparts in the public sector. Aeronautical Engineers can also work in manufacturing and development aircrafts used for civilian and military use and for making missiles. The institutes offering this course in Chennai is IIT-Chennai which offers a 4 year B.Tech Course. Madras Institute of Technology offers a 3 year B.Sc program in Aeronautical Engineering. The tuition fees for a four year program varies from Rs. 1 lakh to 2 lakh.

Hai Sir
Nowadays Aeronautics is much developed with a lot of scope. She can approach many colleges like regional institute, nehru institute etc that offer aviation courses. If she has written the ISAT enrance exam in kerala and score good mark then she would get admission in valiyamala university with no fees. They are providing this for free of cost.
ok bye

aeronautical engineering is a very challenging field...but it is very tough to study.aerodynamics anf fluid mechanics are the major subjects. So before you opt for the course make sure that you have the potential to pursue the course.Otherwise its going to be difficult.

sir, aeronautical engineering is having a very good scope now a days. They are getting salaries above 80,000 per month. She can get admission by giving aieee or iit exam. If she pass the exam with good marks then only she will get admission. In chennai there is srm institute which conduct their own exam. She can also try in that.

Yes, of course it's beneficial.
The job profile in aviation sector is very good.
Also as you are a mechanical engineer you will not be troubled understanding the aeronautics.
It would be a nice career in aeronautics after graduation in mechanical engineering.
Thank You

Hello,

Aeronautical Engineering is quite an untapped scope. There are lots of people who want to pursue Aeronautical Engineering but then only a few of them get through this is because it is very difficult and only those can qualify who have a good knowledge and understanding of the concept.
Also, you need to score well to get through universities offering the same.
And it is always better to do it from a good college so as to get placed in a very good organization such as ISRO or NASA.

Yes, It does have a good scope, and if you get a good post, then high renumeration.
Renumeration is good for even those who do not have a good post.
However, it is very difficult to get through, and course is a bit expensive compared to others.

You may try the IIT-JEE exam for a seat in the IIT's ot IISC banglore for AE.

Good Luck!

Hi,
I dont think so that is possible. Though these courses has some resemblance and some optional subjects in common, They are highly different in perspective. Anyways, Aeronautical engineering is good but not literally recommended or considered in intake to those after Mechanical.

Good Luck.

Hi,
I dont think so that is not possible and if so not beneficial. Though there are some similarities and share some optional subjects, These two courses has entirely different perspective. And normally, Aeronautical Engineers from mechanical are not recommended or considered during recruitment Intake for Aeronautical Engineers.
Good Luck.

i dont think aernautics n aerospace have much scope in india unless u do it from an iit...other institutes dont have enough facilities in aeronautics dept.Like IIT bombay having its own air field.....also mostly all jobs are in govt. sector and u see in any state's aviation department there are mostly 2-3 aircrafts..so only 2-3 engineers and abt 4-5 assistants...so jobs are very less....but this career touches its peak if u r enough capable to go abroad and practice in private firms or defence dept. like us air force.....or u r enough intelligent to crack iit(which is not easy ).......
so on the whole its not a gud field to choose..

Dear sir,

As per the above letter, is it true that only Gov. sector requires or we have to move to foregin countries for job. I would like to work only in India. If even private companies observe us, what kind of companies will observe.
Please let me have a clear picute about the Aeronautic engineering course, I would like to guided in the right parth.

Hai,

Job opportunities in abroad:

Job prospects are improving for students of aeronautical engineering abroad in countries like US, UK, Germany, France and others. In organizations like NASA we have a high percentage of engineers of the aeronautical field from India. Many other countries too have students migrating to Europe and America where aeronautical engineers are in demand. India is now inviting students from US and UK to work in the home
set up after their stint abroad in order to reduce the brain drain from India.
All the best.

Hi

entrance to any engineering college are now through entrance exam these days. So 12th marks have either little or no role to pay.

Aeronautical Engineering is on rise but still you if want to get into this sector and earn good salary then go for selected colleges like IIT Kanpur etc

There have very good facilities, infrastructure and placement.

there are other colleges as well for aeronautical engineering, but there success rate is not as high as IIT. Also same company different post when going to these campus for selection ( higher post for IIT and other big college)

all the best
